Meet The KOMO Team
Lauren Turner
Lauren studied Sports Science at the University of Greenwich in London and continued to pursue a Master’s of Rehabilitation Science at Glasgow Caledonian in Scotland. After 4 years working in London as a physiotherapist both in the public and private sector, she emigrated to Australia in 2006 working at St Vincent’s and Manly Hospitals. Lauren worked in private practices on the Northern Beaches before starting her own practice in 2018.
She was hand selected from a large group of applicants to join a highly-qualified team of physiotherapists who worked at both the Commonwealth Games and Invictus games in 2019.
Her professional values and treatment philosophies; to create personalised patient experiences, implement innovative treatment approaches and set high standards of care are the foundation of KOMO Physiotherapy.
Through a desire to provide more specialised services to the Northern Beaches community and with influence from her growing children, Lauren also saw the need for more comprehensive physiotherapy options for sporting kids.
Lauren helps swimmers and water polo teams at State and National levels. She works well under pressure helping athletes pre-competition for Cheerleading, Gymnastics and dance; Nippers, Swimming, Water Polo and Rugby. She also regularly travels overseas with Cheerleading teams, working at an international level with these high-level athletes.
KOMO Physio continues to have a significant impact on patient lives fulfilling her professional ambition of contributing to the healthcare community in a meaningful way. Lauren continues to provide a high standard of treatment and comprehensive Physiotherapy services to people of all ages.
